Pastor Sam was born in Portsmouth, Va, but was raised in Elizabeth City, NC, just a short distance away. He is married to his wonderful wife, Amanda, and shares with her the blessing of raising their daughter, Emily (5).

He came to WBCC in the fall of 2001 after moving back to the Hampton Roads area. It was then that he knew God, needed to be, and would be, the center of his life. Sam became a member of WBCC and moved on to serve as a teen group leader. In 2003 he received God’s call to go to school, and enter into full time youth ministry.

In the spring of 2004 Sam and his family moved to Dunn, NC. It was in Dunn that he attended Heritage Bible College and received his Associate in Religious Education. During his time there he began his journey as a youth pastor. In the summer of 2006 Sam came back to WBCC to serve as the teen pastor. He is currently studying at Regent University in Virginia Beach, VA to complete the Bachelor in Religious Studies. He plans to continue in the education process and earn a Master of Divinity degree.
